Since this is my last year as a high school student, I so desperately want Moseley to win. Each of us was willing to practice. Each of us wanted to win. We did all we could, we sang until we had sore throats that we even had to drink salabat (ginger tea). Victory was impossible at first but as time progressed and as the contest drew nearer, all went well!
This year, the juniors and the seniors had A Christmas Carol, a song from the movie Scrooge. It is a good song, especially if the group can sing it well. The hardest part in the song was the part of us sopranos, as we really had to reach notes that aren't even in the staff anymore! I'm not a singer, mind you, and all of us found it really difficult to perfect our part. But in the end, guys, we did it!
And guess what, Moseley freaking won!!!! We got included in the finals and you should have seen how happy we were omg we were so close to crying because it made all our efforts worth it!
The Carol Fest finals is on the 19th of December and I'm so stoked for the practices we are to have because we plan on winning this thing and even if we don't (BUT HOPEFULLY WE DO!!!) this Carol Fest made me realize how happy I am in this section and it's just beautiful because we're all in this together.
Moseley isn't a star section. It's a supernova turned blackhole - everything that comes near us can't escape. Not. even. light.
I really really really just do hope we win!!!!!
